Comprehensive Planning for Establishing Four Railway Routes in Fars Province and Connecting Jahrom to the Railway Network

The CEO of the Transport Infrastructure Construction and Development Company has announced that the construction of four railway routes in Fars province, including the connection of Jahrom to the railway network, is part of the agenda of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development. Considering the vastness of the province and its economic capacities, the construction of four railway routes and 3,000 kilometers of roads and highways is anticipated in Fars province. Among these routes, the connection of Jahrom to the railway network has been highlighted as a priority for the provincial railway network. The connection of Jahrom to Shikahrail is expected to boost the prosperity of the county, particularly benefiting from the Pasargad Iron and Steel Factory. The implementation of Section 2 of this railway route, spanning 27 kilometers, has commenced on the sidelines of the President’s visit to Fars province, while the construction of the Jahrom-Khafre-Kavar route, with a length of 122 kilometers, is planned for the future. This project aims to facilitate access to the Pasargad Iron and Steel Factory and enhance railway transportation in the southern region of the country.
